The project overall goal is to improve wellbeing of school children to lead healthier and empowered lives. The project is addressing the root causes of child abuse in 10 primary and secondary schools of Dodoma district council. The project is empowering school children build solidarity as a result of formed school clubs, peer groups and collective actions to the informed decision making on their rights; and strengthening capacity of teachers, school committees and parents to monitor and manage child abuse cases in school settings.To achieve the intends outcomes, the project uses various approaches including; strengthening the school clubs to deliver SRHR, child rights, life-skills and self-esteem education sessions among club members. Also, building the capacity of parents, teachers and school board committees to ensure that child protection is integrated and upheld in the school governing systems.
